You’ve built a full life.
Your body deserves a place in it.

Career, family and responsibilities can push your health down the list. If you’re feeling stiff, less confident or short on energy, you’re not alone.

You feel stiff.

Getting out of a chair, reaching overhead or keeping up on a walk feels harder than it used to. You want to move with more confidence.

You don’t feel like yourself.

Your strength, fitness or body composition has changed. You want to feel capable in your body again, with a plan you can keep up.

You’re running on empty.

Work and family take most of your energy. Another all-or-nothing restart feels exhausting. You need a manageable way to build consistency.

You don’t need to get fit before you start.

Start where you are. Build the fundamentals. Take the next step with a coach who understands your goals and your schedule.

YOUR NEXT CHAPTER

Make room for the life
you want to live.

You give a lot to your work, your family and everyone around you. Your health deserves some of that attention too. Let’s work towards feeling stronger, moving more freely and having more energy for yourself.

Move with confidence.

Work on the movement you use every day — from getting up from the floor to walking, travelling and enjoying your favourite activities.

Build useful strength.

Build a foundation that helps you handle everyday demands, whether that’s carrying groceries, taking the stairs or keeping up with your family.

Keep more energy for you.

Make training and recovery manageable alongside work and family, so looking after yourself can become part of your week.

Your starting point is enough.
We’ll build from there, with practical steps that respect your goals, your ability and your schedule.

THE McDONALD METHOD

A plan built around you.

Your movement, strength, recovery and daily habits all connect. We bring them together in a practical plan that fits your starting point — and the life you want to lead.

01 · Movement assessment

Understand how you move today, what feels limited and what matters to you. Your starting point guides the plan.

02 · Strength & conditioning

Build strength and fitness with exercises adapted to your ability, so your progress carries over into everyday life.

03 · Fascial Stretch Therapy

Bring assisted stretching and movement work into your plan where appropriate, alongside your strength training.

04 · Breathing & recovery

Make space for recovery with practical breathing and rest habits that fit around work, family and a full schedule.

05 · Body composition coaching

Take a manageable approach to building muscle and changing body composition, with habits you can keep up.

06 · Accountability & coaching

Get clear direction, regular feedback and adjustments as your confidence grows and your needs change.

Work towards pain-free movement.

Move with more comfort and confidence in the activities you enjoy. We start with movements you can manage comfortably, then build your strength, control and range at a pace that respects your body.

“Ben is easily one of the most knowledgeable trainers I’ve worked with. What stood out was not simply that he knew what exercises to prescribe, but that he understood the physiology, biomechanics and kinesiology behind them at a level I hadn’t experienced before.”

MOVEMENT + RECOVERY

More freedom to move.

Work towards pain-free movement, with strength and recovery built around your starting point.

Start with what feels manageable.

We look at your movement, listen to what feels restricted and choose a starting point you can approach with confidence.

Bring recovery into the plan.

Fascial Stretch Therapy, breathing and assisted movement can sit alongside your training where appropriate to your goals.

Build towards your everyday life.

Walk, take the stairs, travel and enjoy your favourite activities with a plan focused on the movement that matters to you.

Your body sets the starting point. Your goals give us the direction.

“My knee pain is gone, and I continue to build strength and stability in my knees. I feel as though my whole body is changing structurally. I am stronger than I have ever been and have more energy than I can remember having.”

Client testimonial

“Ben quickly understood the underlying issues and developed an exercise program specifically tailored to me. Four months later, my back pain has completely resolved, and I’m significantly stronger than when I started.”

YOUR COACH

Experience behind you.
A coach beside you.

Ben McDonald · Personal Health Coach and Fascial Stretch Therapist

With over 30 years of coaching experience, I’ve worked with people taking their first steps into fitness through to elite athletes. Wherever you’re starting, my role is to understand your goals and help you find a practical way forward.

Fundamentals first. Progress built around you.

We build a foundation of movement, strength and recovery, then develop it at a pace that fits your ability and your life. You get clear guidance, individual attention and a plan that can change as you do.

What’s YOUR goal? Let’s make it OUR goal.
Ben

“Ben is not just an average personal trainer — he is incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic, funny, and motivating. His workouts can be grueling, but they deliver results.”

Client testimonial

“Beyond the technical expertise, it was Ben’s energy, accent and very British sense of humour that kept me coming back. He somehow made being thoroughly exhausted far more entertaining than it had any right to be.”

LIFE BEYOND THE GYM

Feel more capable in your everyday life.

Progress is personal. We’ll define it around the things you want to do, and the way you want to feel.

Strength you can use.

Build confidence with the demands of everyday life — carrying, lifting, climbing and keeping up with the people you love.

Movement you can trust.

Work towards moving with greater comfort and control, from getting up from the floor to enjoying a walk or a round of golf.

Consistency you can keep.

Replace another all-or-nothing restart with manageable training and recovery habits that fit a busy week.

Your plan is shaped around your priorities, rather than someone else’s idea of success.

“Even though I now go to the gym regularly on my own, I will continue training with Ben because I know I am stronger and able to achieve so much more with his support and guidance. Working with him has completely changed how I feel about exercise and, more importantly, how I feel in my own body.”

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

A clear starting point.
A practical path forward.

You don’t need to arrive with all the answers. We’ll work out the next steps together.

Ben demonstrating movement with individual guidance

01 · Understand you.

Start with a conversation about your goals, current ability, movement concerns and schedule. Identify what matters most.

02 · Build your plan.

Bring together individual training, movement and recovery strategies that respect your starting point and available time.

03 · Review and progress.

Build consistency, check what’s working and adjust your plan as your confidence, capacity and circumstances change.

“I had the privilege of training with Ben for over a year. He undoubtedly helped level up my physical game. What I am most grateful for though is that he shifted my entire mindset on fitness - helping me appreciate that my fitness journey isn't linear, and recovery is just as crucial as training hard.”

YOUR QUESTIONS

Before you take the first step.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

No. We start with your current ability. You don’t need to train first or know which exercises you need.

How can coaching fit a busy schedule?

We discuss the time you can realistically give to training and recovery, then build recommendations around your working week and responsibilities.

What if movement feels painful or restricted?

Tell Ben about what you’re experiencing and any previous injuries. The consultation helps establish appropriate next steps, including input from your healthcare professional where needed.

Is this personal training or stretch therapy?

The McDonald Method brings together movement assessment, strength and conditioning, recovery and coaching. Stretch therapy is one tool within that approach, used where appropriate.

Where does coaching take place?

Live coaching is based in Mississauga, Ontario. Discuss location and practical arrangements with Ben during your consultation.

What does it cost to get started?

The initial consultation is complimentary. Any coaching recommendations and costs are discussed before you decide whether to proceed.

Am I committing to a programme?

No. The consultation is a chance to discuss your goals and explore whether working together makes sense. There is no obligation to commit.

YOUR FIRST STEP

Let’s talk about what you want back.

More comfortable movement. Useful strength. Energy for your own life. Start with a conversation about what matters to you.

No pressure. No hard sell. No obligation.
Just a conversation about you.

“I truly cannot recommend Ben enough. He really cares about the whole person. He creates workouts around your goals, knows when to push you and helps you go further than you thought you could.”
